Hope so after the always so nice and fresh boutique. Must have been a messy one this time? After all it was held in Münchenbryggeriet. We know a couple of Swedes that sounded a bit “sold out” on monday.

MAKIA would like to thank everyone that stopped by our booth in Stockholm last week. Hope you liked the new stuff. Tack! Heja Sverige. Attached also a shot (thats “kort” in Swedish, which means “card” in English. WTF?) of Mr Jakob Soderqvist and a pretty worn out MAKIA tee from back in the days. From Helsinki to Laguna Beach and back. Today we had the great privilege to swing by the SLVDR office in Laguna Beach to try out the production items of our upcoming collaboration! The SLVDR X MAKIA products will hit stores this week all around US. Check www.slvdr.com for a full US retail list. Here’s what the guys at SLVDR had to say about our little project. Remember that there will be yet another collaboration this fall. Other way around, MAKIA X SLVDR. Until next week. Can’t wait!

“You know when you meet someone and you just know you want to work with them. That is how it was for the people behind SLVDR and MAKIA. Kind of like love at first sight but not in a awkward romantic way. Respect for design and brand direction brought SLVDR and MAKIA together to form the Hard Workers Union and launch the first Foreign Design Exchange. The Foreign Design Exchange gets each brand to design a super compact section in each other’s line. The mini collection is meant to add a small representation of one brand with in the other. It is kind of like having your cake and eating it too. We get to add the flavor of another brand we respect and admire with in our own collections and not even get busted for ripping off designs. Thanks to MAKIA – bunch of hard working and fun loving friends.”
