Sage Joske at Valla Surfboards has been shaping some crazy retro inspired fishes and twin fins, just for those less than desirable days. He and his buddies put this little clip together of them just out there having fun on these boards, including surfing Alaia boards which are basically a plank of wood, inspired by what the Hawaiian kings used to ride. It’s just fun and true to the essence of what surfing or any other boards sport is about and essentially what MAKIA is about! So go shred compadres and get inspired by what Sage and Filmer Nathan Oldfield have put together

The month of Novem…sorry Movember is getting closer and we here at MAKIA are urging everyone out there to get ready for a full growth of your fine virile moustache. Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men’s health. MAKIA is in full support of this one, and so are you. This is serious. Get into it!

A high-end redneck nordic boat cruise around our beautiful Helsinki archipelago went on hard and fast last weekend. Don’t really remember anything after the swinging limbo competition though. Well, Villa Wool was there. So was MAKIA we’ve heard. A beautiful night, with a long romantic fall sunset, can be witnessed from the only two mobile photo uploads of the entire evening. Hah! Man it’s nice to think you’re forever young. But you’re not. Only Alphaville and Bob Dylan is.  

A little little something something that might come up before you know it.

Too many projects not enough hands, or was it too many mcs not enough mikes? Anyway. We have a lot of stuff coming up for you during the next two months. Our hard drives are screaming, and hands are bleeding. This is what we live for! And we urge all of you out there to work your butt off, if you believe in your ‘own thing’. Inspire your friends and motivate the world to work harder for a better day.  There will be time for vacations, sun chairs and little straw hats. Promise.
